Still managing barcodes and inventory in Excel?
A label identifies a product. A management system connects it to locations, stock movements and orders. Here are three ways to take the next step.
How to create your barcode
- Enter your identifier. Keep any leading zeros in your code.
- Choose a format. CODE128 works for internal identifiers with letters and numbers. For EAN or UPC, use the number assigned to your product.
- Customize and download. Keep strong contrast, ideally black bars on white. The download button saves a PNG image.
Available formats: CODE128 (auto, A, B, C), EAN13, EAN8, UPC, CODE39, ITF14, ITF, MSI, MSI10, MSI11, MSI1010, MSI1110 and Pharmacode.
A long barcode may exceed the preview width: scroll horizontally to see it. The downloaded file preserves every bar. Test a printed label with your scanner before printing a batch.
Frequently asked questions
CODE128 supports letters, numbers and certain symbols, making it suitable for many internal identifiers. Always check which formats your scanner and management software support.
These formats require a specific number of digits and a check digit. The generator flags incompatible values. Verify the product number, including leading zeros, instead of changing digits just to clear the error.
No. It turns an identifier into a barcode image. If your retailers require a GS1 identifier, obtain it through GS1 and check the retailer’s requirements. Generating an image does not reserve a unique number.
Yes. PNG downloads are free and require no signup. The barcode is generated in your browser, and its value is not sent in the generator’s measurement events.
